Flexcubed Frequently Asked Questions:
=============================
- What are Flash & Flex components?
Components are a collection of code snippets and/or graphical or multimedia assets designed to extend the capabilities of existing applications by providing more functionalities, features and capabilities. For example, our FlashSQL component gives Flash, the express capability to connect to databases and run SQL queries, a functionality which was not on the native swf release.
- Do you provide support on your products?
Yes we do provide support on our products to meet customer satisfaction. However, our support does not cover taking up the client's work to implement in full.
- I want to devevlop a commercial product. Can I use your single user license for that?
Yes you can. The single user license authorieses you to install any of our components on a single machine or machines within an organization but not pass it on. The component can be used to design applications that can be resold in multiple quantities but not the resell of the component as a whole single entity.
- After buying a component, am I eligible for further updates or releases?
As at now, most of our clients enjoy the privilege of future updates
and releases but that is limited to products which names and features have not been changed. For exmaple, all clients that bought FlashSQL 1.0 are still enjoying the privilege of getting versions 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.1. However, clients that bought the Mailer Component some years back cannot have Swift because there's a major shift in the component name and features. However, we will always specify what products has upgrade capabilities and which does not.
- I bought a component, how can I find the Help File?
If you can't find the help file to your component in the zipped file, simply check the Flash IDE Help panel. Some of our components, like the FlashSQL that has an extensive help file have them integrated into the Flash IDE help panel for ease of use and tight integration. Hit F1 on your keyboard in Flash and the help panel wil pop up. From there, select "All Books" from the drop down and you will see the installed help section there.
- Are your components approved by Adobe?
Yes, all our product goes through the Adobe basic approval process where they are tested and checked for bugs and functionality. The process is usually iterated with Adobe personels until it meets the set requirements and is deemed fit and is featured on the appropriate Adobe exchange for that product.
- Where else can I get support?
Please view our Support Line page for various support options we have and feel free to contact us.
